Terms & Conditions
Effective date: 10 February 2026 · Last updated: 10 February 2026
1. Definitions
"Verique", "we", "us", or "our" refers to Verique, a watch repair business operating at 15 Jalan Telawi 3, Bangsar, 59100 Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. "Service" refers to any watch repair, restoration, or related work performed by us. "Client", "you", or "your" refers to any individual who engages our services or uses our website. "Agreement" refers to the arrangement formed when you accept our service estimate and authorise us to proceed with work on your timepiece.
2. Acceptance of Terms
By using our website, submitting an enquiry, or engaging our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you should not use our website or services. You must be at least 18 years of age or have the consent of a legal guardian to engage our services.
3. Service Description
Verique provides watch repair, servicing, restoration, and renewal services. The specific scope of each service is outlined during the initial assessment and documented in the written estimate provided before work begins. We operate from our workshop in Bangsar, Kuala Lumpur, and serve clients locally as well as those who ship timepieces to us from elsewhere within Malaysia.
4. Service Process
Upon receiving your timepiece, we conduct a thorough assessment and provide a written estimate detailing the recommended work and associated costs. Work does not commence until you have reviewed and approved the estimate. If, during the course of servicing, additional issues are discovered that fall outside the original scope, we will contact you for approval before proceeding. Any additional work and its costs will be communicated clearly and require your consent.
5. Pricing and Payment
All prices are quoted in Malaysian Ringgit (RM) and are inclusive of standard labour and materials unless otherwise stated. Payment is due upon collection of your serviced timepiece. We accept bank transfers and major credit or debit cards. Service estimates are valid for 30 days from the date of issue. Should parts need to be specially ordered, additional costs will be communicated and agreed upon before procurement.
6. Client Responsibilities
You are responsible for providing accurate information about your timepiece, including any known history of previous repairs or modifications. You should disclose any issues you are aware of during the intake process. Watches should be collected within 30 days of notification that the service is complete. We reserve the right to charge a storage fee for items not collected after this period, at a rate of RM 5 per day.
7. Care and Custody
While your timepiece is in our possession, we exercise reasonable care in its handling and storage. Watches are kept in a secure, access-controlled environment. In the unlikely event of loss or damage caused by our negligence during the service process, our liability is limited to the fair market value of the timepiece at the time of the incident, as determined by independent appraisal where necessary.
8. Intellectual Property
All content on our website — including text, images, design elements, and branding — is the property of Verique and is protected under Malaysian intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use any of our content without prior written consent. Photographs taken of your timepiece during the service process remain our property, though we will not use identifiable images for marketing purposes without your permission.
9. Disclaimers
Our services are provided on a best-effort basis. While we strive for the highest quality outcomes, we cannot guarantee that every watch will achieve specific timing standards, as this depends on the age, condition, and design of each movement. We do not provide valuations or authentication services. Any opinions shared about a timepiece during the service process are informal observations and should not be relied upon as professional appraisals.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Malaysian law, Verique shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the use of our services or website. Our total aggregate liability in connection with any claim shall not exceed the total amount paid by you for the specific service giving rise to the claim.
11. Termination
Either party may terminate a service agreement at any time before work commences, with no cost incurred. If you wish to cancel after work has begun, you will be responsible for the cost of work already performed and any parts already ordered. We reserve the right to decline or discontinue a service if, in our professional judgment, the work poses unacceptable risk to the timepiece or falls outside our area of competence.
12. Dispute Resolution
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Malaysia. Any dispute arising from or in connection with these terms shall be resolved first through good-faith negotiation between the parties. If a resolution cannot be reached informally, disputes shall be referred to the courts of Malaysia, with jurisdiction in Kuala Lumpur.
13. General Provisions
These terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Verique regarding the subject matter herein. If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force. Our failure to enforce any right or provision shall not constitute a waiver of that right. We may assign our rights and obligations under these terms to a successor entity without notice.
14. Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to update these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Your continued use of our services or website after such changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
