If your watch has not been serviced in five years or more, a general check-up is a sensible step.

A full mechanical overhaul typically takes between two and four weeks, depending on the complexity of the movement and whether replacement parts need to be sourced. We will provide you with a more specific timeline after the initial assessment.

We understand that patina and age marks carry significance for collectors. During assessment, we discuss what level of restoration you prefer — from light cleaning to full refinishing — so the outcome matches your expectations. Preserving the original character is always an option.

Our primary focus is on mechanical movements — both manual-wind and automatic. For quartz watches, we can assist with battery replacement, strap renewal, and basic cosmetic work. Please reach out and we can advise on what falls within our scope.

After completing the service, you receive a summary that includes a description of the work performed, the condition of key components (mainspring, balance, escapement), timing results across positions, and any recommendations for future care. We keep this on file for your records.

A cool, dry location away from direct sunlight and strong magnetic fields is ideal. For automatic watches that will be left unworn for an extended period, winding them once a month helps keep the oils distributed. Avoid placing watches near phones or speakers, as these contain magnets.
